I wear diapers do to a bicylce accident. I was going on a trail and my friends went down a really steep hill. They told me that with how good I was at biking it would be a snap for me..well it wasn't...I skid out and my side hit a big rock and damagged my bladder!

Hey everyone. I'm zach. i'm 12 in 6th grade. and ya, i wet the bed. I tried the pills when younger but I guess they didnt work. to answer the question why people only talk bout diapers instead of pills or alarms is because diapers are the most common way to deal with bedwetting.Like Travis, i see a doctor about it and my parents ar cool bout it. the doctor says since my dad was a bedwetter til his late teens, i prolly will be too. so i just wear a diaper under my pajamas and deal with it. thou if its real warm out, i skip the diaper and just deal with wet sheetsbesides bedwetting , I play on a traveling all stars baseball team in the summer.

Yeah I like the message from Travis below cuz Im taking the pills to and Mum got a Malem alarm for me that I been useing for bout 3 weeks. Its real hard to wake up when it/ beeps but I did two nights an Dad helped,. Hows come nobody else ever talks about alarms and pills here? All everybody talks about here is diapers...

I was just posting to let you know that my sister (hermionechick) had her surgery yesterday. Everything went good, except she really started bleeding for some reason and I had to donate blood. It was really scary since I don't like needles. I really got freaked out and then I passed out so they had me lay down and had to monitor me. Then I passed out again and they kept me overnight. I was really nervous and my mom made sure to tell the nurses about my night problem and they were great about it. I slept most of the time. My sister was nervous about wetting in the hospital, but she was so out of it from the surgery that she didn't care. I talked to her today and she was alright with it. If all goes well she'll get out of the hosp. on Tuesday.

Hi my name is Travis I am 16. Yesterday mom took me to a specialist. She told me when I went in not to be imbarrased that this happens to a lot of people . She has stood beside me all the way never imbarrasing me in front of fellow kids. Always cleaning up after me and never ever saying a harsh word againsst my problem. I am now on .04mgs of the pills and have to have an alarm, Mom is now trying to find me one. The dr says I will out grow this maybe by the time I am 20. I have asked why me but mom says there is a reason for everything , but i have never been able to sleep over and never been able to have anyone sleep over its not fair.

i have to go to the uroligist and get this weird test done where they fill your bladder then empty it and take pictures...has anyone else had this done to them before? what is it like?

I was wondering how many of you have really supportive parents? I do. My mom has been helpful in trying everything and listening to me and what I want? Also, what is your story on how you started wetting the bed? Mine is simple. I was potty trained at about 3 or 3 1/2 and never achieved dryness at night.

Hi you all, my name is Tonya. I have a problem, I was in a car accident and I have no control over my bladder as a result from this. So I have to wear diapers 24/7. But my mom still lays me down on the floor like a baby pulles my clothes off cleans me and puts a new diaper on. Help I feel like a baby. I can do my own diapering but my mom sais no. She does this infront of my freinds and everything. Is there any girls like me close to my age that have this problem. Please help. What should I do, I just dont feel right with my mom changing me.

Hello everyone, I have wet the bed all my life. When I went to doctors when I was younger all they would say is that I would out grow my problem. Unfortunetly, I have yet to overcome this obstacle. However, I have currently been taking DDAVP again for about the fifth time. This time the doctor raised my dosage. I also have a very loud and annoying sleep alarm that wakes me right up the minute any moisture touches the pad it is connected to. I have also been writing the specific times that I wake up in the middle of the night wet. After I approximated the times I was wetting the bed I set my alarm to correlate with the average of those times. Doctors have currently found nothing wrong with me other then the fact that I am a heavy sleeper. So, they suggested to make my sleep enviroment less comfortable then it is that way I may sleep a little lighter. For about two months now I have taken peoples suggestions and combined all their advice and used it to my advantage. I have recently gone from wetting the bed every night of the week to only wetting two times or less per week and still improving. I just want to let people know that they should NEVER GIVE UP and keep trying no matter how dark and depressing something is there is always a bright light on the other side.
