Hey everyone, I've been wetting the bed since I was born and I think it's time for it to come to an end, hehe. I believe that if I can stretch my bladder, then I will not have bedwetting problems anymore because I think the entire problem NOW, its that my bladder is too small. During the day I have perfect control over my bladder, that is until there is just too much urine and I MUST go (thats normal, right? heh). During the night, I usually wake up 2 to 4 times to go pee; again I think this is because my bladder is just too small to hold all the urine throughout the night. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have any experience with bladder stretching exercises. I've been doing it for about a week and have found that my bladder gets the sudden urge to release urine when there is as little as 4oz of liquid in it.When I hold it in as long as I can, I can hold up to about 12oz (I think), uncomfortably, and that is three times as much. Does anyone know if these exercises will really increase capacity or am I wasting my time.

There are other options than diapers, you know. In the UK you can get mattress protectors which are waterproof underneath, and washable. They're not even designed for bedwetters so there's no need to be embarrased about buying them. The fleese material keeps you comfortable and there's no need for your rooom to smell of pee! You can also get Pampers "Bed Mats" which are the same sort of thing, but they're disposable. Also, as far as stopping is concerned, wearing diapers is not helping in the slightest... you need to do excercises like holding your pee all day to stretch your bladder, or stopping the flow half-way when you go to the toilet, then starting it again - this strengthens your spinchter muscle. There's no need to turn an adult problem into a babyish one by wearing diapers!!!

Hey, when you wet the bed do you get spanked? I wanted to let all you know that you shouldn't. Getting spanked adds stress, becasue you get scared about getting spanked if you wet and you're upset afer you're spanked. Stress like this and being upset causes or makes wetting worse. Talk to your parents, and have them stop spanking you. Your wetting will probably decrease or stop.
