Why are most parents interested only in diapers for their bedwetting kids?
How about this: a lot of parents are LAZY and can think of nothing other than their own convenience, rather than actually investing time and effort on their own part to help their children overcome this condition? I do not think this is true of all parents on this site, and I am not opposed to diapering as a temporary solution when this is honestly agreed to be the best thing for the time being by the parents and child. I am, however, saddened and frustrated by the number of parents on this site who act like the worst problem caused by their child's bedwetting is their own personal inconvenience. Forced diapering may save the parent a lot of time and effort compared to actually trying to TREAT the condition, but as many of the posts by current and past bedwetters on this site abundantly demonstrate, it can do irreparable harm to the long-term mental and emotional well-being of the child. Children who wet the bed need love, attention, respect, and appropriate physical and psychological care, just as do children with any other physical or mental disability. Of course it is harder for both parent and child in the short run to pursue treatment, but please, parents, your child's long-term health and self-image is more than worth it!

I really think it's a mixture of all three.

My mom says diapers work best, and the embarrassment is an incentive for me to get dry.

They may want the bed-wetter to be more comfortable after they wet their bed and diapers make everbody more comfortable in the morning

Diapers are a great solution.

My parents tried everything with me and nothing worked so we ended up with diapers. I didn't like it at first.

As a mom, diapers are easier. I do not have time to clean up after my child if she has an accident. We use to try alarms, but when they don't work you still have to clean up the sheets and the pj's that are wet. How is drugging your kid an answer? I dont believe in drugging a child because they wet their beds. Not to mention a lot of these medications are not covered by insurance and they are very expensive to a family. Hypnosis does not work on a lot of people and I am very skeptical that it would work. I am not lazy either, I am a teacher and I have a lot of other work at to do at my home. I get home from school in time to start on dinner, then take my children to their sports practices, make dinner, help with homework, clean my house, get the kids ready for another day, put them to bed, do my own homework (grading papers, making tests, writing out assignments, etc.), and then I go to bed, just in time to get a few hours of sleep and wake up to do it again the next day. It is not because I am lazy. I am hurt that this would be an answer to a poll. You need to make better polls that are for the children/teenagers who use this.

There are other possible reasons like: ease and convenience, it's better than having an accident and everything getting wet, less laundry to do and easier clean up

We have tried alarms and tey caused more problems that they are worth. I am sure our daughter will grow out of diapers

some parents like treating their kids like babies

parents using alarms, etc. don't look on the internet as much

Diapers, pull ups etc. are so common and advertised on TV. Most likely more well known than alarms etc.

i love my diapers...

its easier to make the kids wear diapers

it the easyeist thing to do

i have 3 boys that wet every night and lots of days too

old fashion and thats what they know stops wet beds

An option you left out: Some of them are probably not parents of bedwetters at all--they're just trolling here.

Diapers are often a good short term solution if many of the rigorous anti-wetting schemes are too much hassle for a young child

diapers and p;astic pants are the only practical solution

I think that they possibly wet when they were little and there parents made them were diapers so that is what they think is best for there children

it could really be all of them but i dont know im only a kid HEY! :)

I have tried many thing for my child and diapers have worked the best.

they too were bedwetters and wore diapers

just lazy

I have a 10yr daughter. My husband and I have tried alarms and we took her to the Doctor for medication with not results. We do NOT use diapers as punishment with our daughter but as a better solution to wet clothes and bed sheets. We support our daughter with her problem and hope someday she will outgrow it.

I think it is a combination of all three and then some. It is much easier to diaper a child, than to use alarms, medications, etc. The patient and parents must take an active role it combating bedwetting. Medications can be expensive and used on a continuing basis or the bed wetting will return when the medication is stopped. I found it much cheaper in the long run to wear diapers and plastic pants to control my wetting. I have tried nearly all medications and devices on the market without success. The medication side effects were terible, too. I have been a bedwetter nearly my whole life of 52 years.

Mom Doesn't want to wash the sheets etc. every morning and make my bunk bed.

because they hate having to wash their kids wet clothes

because they might want to find out what is the best diaper to have their child to wear.it is a whole lot better to wear a diaper then sleep in a wet bed.Or walk in a wet pair of pants.

i can't help but wet so my mommy puts a diaper on me when i sleep day or night

i love diapers in 16 an my

i put mydaughter back in diapers

They are lazy and dont care about there kids stopping

Our teenager left us no choice as she has agreed to diapers at night.

I was a bedwetter.

diapers work, and there comfy, and kids like them

They want to embaress them and make them feel like a baby.

Staying dry is much better than sleeping wet

My parents know it is very hard to wake me up at night so they diapered me to this day and still do

We want them to grow up in diapers and screw up their lives and never have a good bladder >=]

wen will you get new mothy plos

My husband and I have tried several alarms and medications, took our daughter to the doctor and still she bedwets. That is why we use diapers with her.

bedwetter children should be in diapers and plastic pants at night or even during the day if it is in need.

I wore diapers and plastic panties to bed for bedwetting until age 10. Now with 2 kids age 6 and 4 that wet at night Goodnitesare used to keep the beds dry.

It's not a matter of "embarrassment" in talking to Drs. It's that after being a bedwetter myself as a child, and test after test after test, and NO solution, I've come to the conclusion that Drs know less about causes and cures for bedwetting then the early Egyptians did!! And I don't want my kids on DRUGS that do nothing more than prolong the heartache of nightly wetting. DRUGS DO NOT "cure" bedwetting and often times have other negative side-effects that are even worse then the wetting. Cloth diapers and plastic pants on my 6 year old are the best solution that I've found so far.

parents who surf the net about bedwetting are only interested in diapers; other parents don't go on the internet for help.

We know that our daughter is lazy and she wets her pants (day or night) because she doesn't want to get up and go pee in the toilet. We decided if she's lazy, we'll be lazy. We'll sit and smoke our cigarettes and change her in and out of diapers in front of the TV if she is also too lazy to get up and go pee/poop in the toilet. It's common sense.

I had my child use good-nites for a long time hoping only that eventually the bedwetting would stop(it hasn't)Now I'm looking at an alarm system because I do not want him on medication.

may be becaue they like seeing ther children in diaperss and treating them like babys

They want to keep their children as babys !

Parents can be jerks or they can spend the money to get it done

I honestly think that goodnites/diapers are the best solution until the child outgrows bedwetting, but that said, I think there are a lot of fetishists/diaper lovers on this site, both teen and adult.

its much easyer to use a diaper than to get up at night

My parents took me through to many different websites that all offered a different solution. They let me choose what I thought would work best. Hypnosis and medication I immediatly ruled out. An alarm wouldn't work because I can sleep through almost anything. The only 2 things that I saw that I thought might work were diapers or a plastic sheet. I ruled out the sheet because I go to sleepovers very often and tons of people sleep over at my house, and I knew that the sheet would be loud enough to tell them what was happening.

We have tried all available options without success. Our doc says to live withit. IT is part of his disorder!

Diapers are an aid in enuresis/encopresis. I run a boys summer camp and have talked to many pediatricians over the years. My experience has been that you do not force the child to use diapers, but offer them as an aid in controlling their bedwetting.

parents should use diapers only if tried all other solutions and acceptable to the child whom has to wear them.

i think also they use them to keep stuff dry and it dosnt ruin the matress and stuff or so they dont wet the bed at a friends house plus u guys are to restrictive u should quit freking out about diapers and stuff because most people that come here use them anyway

They are lazy parents

I think they only use diapers beciase they do not know about the other solutions.

Also so as not to break the sleep of parent or child

i think it is a mixture of all 3 or maybe they just want to have their kids feel like babys and there for they put them in to diapers, or they dont want them to grow up. Though I use goodnites. My brother wets too, he is 6 and he still wears huggies and it does not bother him. It is alot easier than wet sheets and pjs.

For me personally its that I dont want her to do anything because I am embarrassed about it. I dont want my mom to go to the doctor because I dont want anyone I actually know to know about my problem.

i think it is because i want to poop in a diaper and im 15

some parents seem to take the easy way out and use nappies and plastic pants option because it saves on washing and the child sleeps in a dry bed but a child can become accustomed to wearing such aparel and subconsiously not care about the problem! also on the parents side they dont want the hassle of getting up them selves and getting their child whom may be a bit crankey because he or she was woke up we done it with our children and it worked for our kids sure we had set backs but it was worth it in the long run! for our childrens sake!we took it in turns one week I would doit and the next weekmy wife would do it so at least we had a weeks rest!.

I think your conclusion above is not only false but is leading others to share in this reckless opinion. "nearly all of the parents who use this site seem interested only in diapers for their kids". Excuse me, but I do not follow the logic of this! I believe it is our children who come here seeking support in good faith that are going to suffer the most from this loss.

YUO NEED TO BUTTSECKS YOUR KID UNTIL THEY START SCREAMING, THEN SLIDE THE DICK OUT OF THE ASS AND YELL IF U PISS THE BED AGAIN ILL FUCK YOUR ASS AGAIN YOUR DIRTY FAGGOT!!! -- Ben Dover

Grandparent....Used goodnites to until my grandson out grew his problem. No stress on the boy and he is normal 14er now, unlike in my days when such products were not available. A cold wet bed is a miserable thing as are alarms. They do more damage than good. Let the child outgrow his/her problem. Almost all do it time

It Is a lot less stressful to wake up in the morning in a wet diaper then a wet bed and after six years I should know. just remember that the kids will eventually grow out of it and meanwhile they will be less effected by it if they wear diapers then if they wake up in a wet bed everymorning. however I can see how you wouldn't understand as you probably never woke up in a wet bed yourself. and yes this is directed towards the moderators and any doctor who advises against diapers for bedwetting

Most bedwetting cases will go away on their own, why make the child suffer through alarms and pills when a diaper can simply absorb the problem and give a full night sleep until the child outgrows bedwetting?

they dont want to have to bother with all the other stuff

to make it easier on Laundering bedding all the time and getting a longer nights sleep from getting up and changing during ther night

i think diapers dont work. it just make the children wet the bed more. you should only try plastic sheets and change them every day.

Easiest/most convenient solution, perhaps?

no of the medacation work and the alarm i have just get my dad up

because they can still be woken up to go to the toilet they can still use alarms and medication they only differece is that you don't have to wake up in a cold wet bed

they probaly know it`s their last thing to use

and just maybe the kid want to be in diapers

I THINK THAT IT IS COOL TO WEAR DIAPERS

i'm sure some posts of this nature are by fetishists, not parents of bedwetters. they somehow derive pleasure from creating essentially a work of fiction, and passing it off as non-fiction. what they write about is what they secretly want to have happen to them. perhaps making others believe their stories makes it real to them as well.

Maybe they would like to wear diapers themselves.

I tried everything else and diapers and plastic pants was the only thing left to do.

Diapers are cheeper than a email

I am diabetic with recurrent UTI which has made me insensitive. Have tried staying awake but get exhausted without the sleep I need. I wear cotton nappies 82cm x 82cm as I don't like the environment to suffer.

they may not know that they have other options

http://www.diaper-boys.biz

Because it's easier to change your kids wet diaper in the morning then to have to do laundry. Everyone gets a better night's sleep that way too. Plus they are comfortable and are easy to hide now days with the clothe xteriors and so on. It gives the child the freedom to sleep over at friends and have a descrete method for handling his/her bedwetting problem.

diapers are good to wear...Not only for bedwetting but if you cant wake up the diapers hold it well..I wear diapers now...My favorite are luvs.and huggies diapers size sic

They probably have

Diapers are the best way to go ... both for the kids who wet and the parents of the kids. I like diapers a lot better than wetting my bed

well first off all i don't like the way you say that we user don't talk about al;arms and treatmends and use diapers for ouher convinience. :( well i can't immagine that a parrent would not go to the doctor. most of the kids whent to the doc and hospitals. at least in my country. the first thing you get are drugs if they don't work you get an alarm when you stil wet the bed what ohter optoin do you have? then using diapers? and that is also the blame of doctors the first thing they say is start using a diaper. perrants see their kid is unhappy and they want to help him or her as good butt u have to consider that 1% of alle people and kids keep wetting the bed for evver.and i did not even talk about incontinence probs. beleve me there is nothing nice or funny on a diaper for a lot of kids/people is a big setback.and not to mention to wet or pooh in it you feel dirty and so on. so i say what u are suggesting is not tru at all perrents will do evvery thing to get thier kid(s) dry.

They are told by their physician to just naturally let the child outgrown the problem. I've had this response from 3 different pediatricians.

They are lieing. They are turned on by themselves and others having accidents.

My 35 year old son cant stop wetting his pants when his gets nervous in his office at work and in public... What can i do he is 35 and still lives with his mother and continues to wet the bed?

I am 17, and sooooooooo embarassed to talk to anyone! My parents or even a doctor, so i wear adult diapers. My parents know now but we are both just as embarrased so it never comes up! Anyone with help please feel free to email me at da_great_canadian@hotmial.com THANX, Zac

i am 14 and wet the bed and i know that even though i sometimes still do wear diapers i would not actually want to. some parents on here seem like they enjoy diapering their teens and children. i still need help diapering if i am going on a long trip but i try to use alarms and bladder excersises most. i really want advice on that not what diapers work best i already know that.

they are really sickos who enjoy wearing s and taking es in them before they jack off.

dont want to deal with wet sheets, waking up at night

I think that most parents think that if their child acts like a baby, they're going to treat them like one. They also maybe don't want to give their child up as a grown up. Also maybe they have diaper fetishes.

We have talked to my doctor, and found diabetes, but i go 2 a boarding school and with diapers I can secretly change into them in the bathroom at night and out of them in the morning, otherwise i would have wet sheets 2 deal with in front of all the other girls

because they are tired of doing laundry everyday

I'm a 20 yo female. My parents put me in diapers for acting like a baby when I was 5. I liked it a lot, so I found a reason for them to put me back in them. Wetting the bed. I have worn diapers every night since, and I love them. My parents know about my desires to be diapered (they found out when I was 13), and they have accepted it lovingly. I'm at college now, and still diaper myself everynight. Because, now, not only do I want to wear them, I have to. I wake up wet every morning. And I love the extra attention I get from my parents because of it.

they really like diapers and r lying

they want a solution that makes everyone happy. it becomes a fairly private matter when the child puts on night protection. they can be left alone around the issue of bedwetting.

they is no one n there

A combination of "A" and "C". We've tried just about every product on the market and none works as well as diapers. Also, the Dr's "brilliant" suggestion was to dry the pills (drugs are drugs as far as I'm concerned, and to be avoided at all cost), and to "just live with it" till it stops on it's own. Thanks a lot, "Doc"!

They're are all members of the AB/DL community and are using this site as a place to communicate their fantasies.

they are motivated by the Adult Baby fetish and are not real parents at all

i wet the bed and my friend (Wets the bed too) her mum wants her to wear a reuseable diaper because she dosnt have enough money to try other solutions (alarms, medication, hypnosis, docter etc.)

they are lazy

I don't think nearly all parents want to use diapers, I think they come to this site to get ideas to help their children.

An average teenager, atleast at my school, gets less then 7 hours of sleep a night. Haveing to go all week on 7 hours a night is often hard and waking up at night (severl time for some if they use your ideas)can make the amount of sleep to be less then 6 hours a night. Without sleep the body does not function well and you do poorly at school. medication does not always work well and you still sometimes wet so you still need a diaper or use of an alarm. Also you can't use an alarm or wakeup training at a sleepover so a diaper again is the only answer. Using medications, as well as other methods, can be expensive and, because the others need to backup of a diaper if you don't want the wet bed, money must still be spent on diapers. Many many families can't pay that much a night to solve a problem that can be solved much cheaper with just a diaper. Yes it might take a bit longer to learn but I, a bedwetter, would much rather save the extra money for something special, and get enough sleep so I can do well in school even though it means i might wet a bit longer. Some have tried other ways that have failed and some just don't want to get up but the majority are doing what they think is best which is to use a diaper (many kids would agree that it is the best option availible) because you just toss it in the morning. No sleep lost, no money spent on expencive medications and the problem still goes away.

Diapers and plastic pants are the only practical way to handle bedwetting. They help reduce the stress on both parents and children. Most children find them comfortable to wear.

And of course the sheet changing can be a pain. Aswell as having a wet matress.

It may be the easiest thing to do, to prevent wet bedding and clothes, and to maybe help the cjild or adult have better sleep during the night.

My 17 y/o daughter is a bedwetter , we tried all, what else than a diaper has helped her? nothing. her BF knows, and they are dealing the problem.Diapers are the easiest and less traumatic way to have the bed dry

Lazy

its more like cant afford alam clocks and im kinnda lazy

to punish thier child really bad! like i was i had to wear nothing but see through plastic bags to bed so i would be embaresed!

I wet the bed as a child and hated waking up smelling like I'd been pickled in urine for hours! Who would? Not allowing protection would be like telling menstrating women not to use any! I wish the products out now had been around when I was a child. My daughter uses Goodnites and a malem alarm (both with and without the Goodnites), and she still wets and doesn't wake up. So why make her suffer in a urine SOAKED bed from head to toe? What is the purpose in that?

I want to be changed in a disposible diaper and be babyied. Diapers are cool

After years of washing sheets and blankets everyday thru my life and my childs diapers are nice.

Hell ya

being not able to always make it to the toilet,, I love the attends breifs,, and they work excellent for my wetting and now dream to never have surgery, there comfy, and showering is fine and if your spine causes the nerves to act up, so be it, you take what life gives you and make the best of it,.. signed jimmy,older_wiser_droops@yahoo.com in attends for life wanting a wife who is a bed wetter,, thats my latest dreams

i wear diapers and they are more comfortable than wet sheets.

When I use diapers it makes me feel better about my problem.

People are lying about wanting information, they just want to fantasize

I think Its possible that if they're sincere, that they just might not to put in the effort. Some however, probably aren't even parents, so eh, might be a bit off.

You cite a medical study to claim that diaper wearing is wrong. Could it be that the pediatricians were wrong? The experiences of the users of this site should be part of your on-going research. A good scientist is willing to adjust his assumptions in the face of new evidence and doesn't discount evidence that don't fit his/her assumptions

there are 2 tipes of parents/people on this site those who have no other option and those who do it out of choice to the latter grow up

my son pisses the bed so i make the tosser sleep in a paddlin pool, works a treat

Diapers are the best!

go diapers

I think diapers can really help with alarms helping you wake up in the middle of the night, it is also hard to find diapers for teens who are fit and otherwise healthy

Because the majority of ppl here are AB/DL:S who can not respect the site for what it is ment to be?

if other things dont work it helps keep the dry

As a teen i wet the bed very often and my mom and I decided not to go with protection, but after 6+ yrs of changing sheets and constanly buying new underwear and such I could see why a parent would want to go with diapers but it is a very hard thing to bring up to a child who is probably already very ashamed of their condition, i would like to add that do to a weak bladder the problem has continued to crop up from time to time and I now wear underwearstyle protection becuase it is just easier

Hey im sixteen and i tried meds for wetting the bed and alarms i have a slight hearing problem were i cant here the alarm but i now lots of people who use the alarm but to set it of it take moister to set it of which meens u already started going being a bedwetter you cant always hold your bladder thats also why lots of kids who do wet the bed also have an accident during the day every once in a while

I do not want my child to be wet and have to wash laundry everyday

i think its cuz that if a kid is a bedwetter n is diapered at nite then the kid can get a good nites sleep without the alarm wakin em up or havin the parents come in every other hour to wake the kid up to use the bathroom

while diapers might not be the way to go for some it is for others. It is also important that diapers can be used in conjunction with almost if not all the other treatments.

lazy bums! they think its just a phase and penty of other peope do wet the bed, and eventually itll stop and diapers work, so why not try them, they lazy.

they are trying to hard. Mom 35 and also recovered bedwetter

diapers are so cool. all 4 of my kids and myself use diapers at home.ages 5,7,9,14

i pee my pants at school to i am the son himself

beacuse their docter has perscribed them

Because they are babies, and babies wear diapers

I like my son to were a diaper. I can have a good laugh. His is 13 and his is still a baby.

I love diapers and I were them to scool and I sleep in a crib suck nuks and drink baby formula

Is this a medical site or an anti-fetish site? No offense, but whoever writes these polls seems awful spiteful.

i use diapers also, me and my two boys

Other solutions are remnants of outdated ideologies about wetting, that premote shame & embaressment by empasizing how important it is to quit wetting. Withholding liquids because someone might wet is CRUEL! It is bad enough not letting someone thirsty have a drink to begin with. If you don't let a kid have anything to drink because they might wet they bed, you are punishing them because they MIGHT wet the bed. If you sent a kid to bed without supper there would be no question that it was a punishment but sending them to bed without anything to drink because of bedwetting that they have no control over is supposed to be a good thing? B.S.!!! Waking a kid up at night to use the bathroom, then you & the kid neither one gets a full nights sleep & you are both worse off in the morning than you were with wet sheets. Alarms are the same thing-except they don't go off until after they are wet. Diapers you can get at drugstores department stores & supermarkets & online. Medication means a doctor vist to prescribe it & a trip to the pharmacy & repeat as necessary with follow up visits. If you arent lucky enough to have medical insurance 1 doctor visit & one trip to the pharmacy is easily going to cost you more than a years supply of diapers. Then the parent is going to have to deal with the medication-scheduling & watching out for the side effects. If your lucky your only noticable side effect is diarrea, which is worse the problem or the cure? Then there are the doctors who want the kid to hold it as long as they can to "help" stretch out their bladder, no liquids in the evening & hold it when you have to go-thar isn't a kind way to treat a person! Add to those stuff like keeping a journal of when they go or having them help change their wet sheets, EVERYTHING except diapers are giving the message that theyve done something wrong. The child is confronted with efforts to make sure he stops wetting every night. No matter how understanding a parent tries to be about it, if the kid has to go strip his wet sheets off, not only did the kid have to go & confess to wetting the bed again, there is no way to avoid feeling selfconcious the whole time mom or pop is there helping you get the wet sheets washed. With diapers a parent only has to confront the child about them when they 1st start wearing them again. After that the parent or kid only has to talk about it as they desire. When a kid can feel like wearing & wetting diapers is a total nonissue to their parents, theyre more likely to be comfortable talking openly with their parents & less likely to be embaressed or ashamed of themselves. As far as the questions on the poles here. " Are you the parent of a bedwetting child?" is easily misleading. I have no kids, but my house mate has 2 bedwetting kids. I deal with every part of their lives on a daily basis, but It isn't something i ever volunteered for & i sure as &%#$ ain't their parent!

i diaper our hole family (me, my boy friend and our 7 bebwetting kids) all of us love to were diapers.

My brother has tried everything and I don't want him to have to wake up anymore at night. It's back to diapers for us!

my boy likes having a diaper on and i like him in it.

Because if you wet the bed you are a baby and belong in diapers all the time.

i wear nappys

i wamt my kids to be in diapers and they love it too

I believe diapers are appropriate for bedwetting. They are a humane solution.

Tey think that with diapers, the kid can feel more secure of himself, and so,don't having a wet bed,he will be more able to stop wetting

mine pees

my 9 year old daughter wets her pants bed pants ect

but diapers are so cool to wear

they're either lazy, or want to punish their child

wearing dieper

well i know my mum got sick of getting up in the night so tryed diapers when i was 7

they just like there kids to wear diapers im a parent and i wet and mess the bed and during the days i just love wearing diapers to poop and pee in them

Looking for a solution for night and day-wetting. My son does not seem to care. We may see a urologist also to make sure there is no medical reason for hem wetting during the day and night.

the child gets a better nights sleep

they want to baby there child

i love diapers im wearing 3 goodnites and 2 depends and under that i have a baby diaper on

diapers are a good solution to bedwetting when one knows that eventually one will grow out of the problem of bedwetting...why add stress with alarms and changing the sheets 2 times in the middle of the night? Seems to me if stress affects bedwetting negatively, dont add stress..use a diaper for what its made for until the child grows out of it. I'm lost on why this is such a big deal.

diapers are cool

I think that it is an easy way out. I would not go so far are to say that they tried other things but that this is the first thing that comes to mind and it is "Easy" (What ever that means.)

They feel that diapers are the only way to solve their childs bedwetting problem. Also maybe because the child asked for the diapers because they are tired of having a wet bed.

They feel that diapers are the only way to solve their childs bedwetting problem. Also maybe because the child asked for the diapers because they are tired of having a wet bed.

Many parents are looking for convience in their lives. I'm not talking only with the problem with their child's bedwetting, but everything else in life. Some parents are willing to go through the sometimes frustrating and exhausting steps of waking up their child at night or worrying that an alarm waking them up at 3 am is going to effect their school work the next morning. With the release of goodnites a parent sees that many other parents have the same problem and that many other parents are dealing with it with goodnites. So they fall in with the crowd. The child deals with it on their own and it eventually goes away. And the parent feels comfortable knowing the problem is being handled and all they have to do is buy more goodnites. The use of diapers to handle bedwetting will noy go away. goodnites sales make up 10% of all disposable diaper sales. Plus while one child is training himself at home for months on end with an alarm. Another child is at a sleepover using discreet protection.

I wet the bed and i have to wear nappies, i don't have any freinds because i smell of urine. I wet and soil my nappies i have a bladder problem, i get punshied with a belt and a shoe. When i wet or soil my nappy im not allowed to change nappies until midnight and it is realy uncomfotbale for me. I have to be put in a cot and my leg and arms are straped down, all my freinds know that i wet and soil myself and they know that i wear nappies. Once in P.E my teacher left the door open when he was changing me into my new nappy and puting my shorts on he forgot to lock the door. People called me baby boy, pissy pants, soil boy, urine boy, bladder problem boy and the worst name is cry baby. When people say "Cry Baby" to me i wet myself and that happend at high school, im in high school now and i went on a camp with the school and i had a new alarm and it started ringing and vibrating and my team of 3 people woke up and because we had to share a bed they were all wet too. Also my other punshment is, i have to lay across my nanas lay and i have to paddle for about 30 mintues then the worst punshment is this bit i am put onto my dads lap and then i am spanked for 25 minutes and i always cry and my brother called me a cry baby and i wet myself when he say that. I have been wetting and soiling for about 7 years in a row, i only have ABOUT 2 dry nights in a year. I need to go and get my nappy changed bye ill be back on here soon!

Many parents like to use diapers to punish and embarrass the child for their wetting by making them feel like a baby

purpose bedwetting

Bedwetting is embarrassing for the child and wearing diapers and rubber pants keeps the bed dry this helps everyone.concerned.

diapers are ok alot of people love diapers I love them I also have a forum for diaper lovers to post articles on interest in diapers if they wan't they can go there to post and talk about diapers. It's at www.babychadsforum.freepowerboards.com Also I have a website for diaper lovers adult babies and teen babies. it's at www.diapersarethebest.4t.com please check both of my sites out. feel free to express yourself there. If the sites do not come up in your search engine try typing it in your adress bar it usually comes up from there I know my website diapersarethebest come up if you type it in the yahoo toolbar. I hope you can get there. Also another great diaper lovers website is www.deeker.com it is not mine but it is great.

i really enjoy wearing pull-ups for the fun of it and i'm not a bed wetter at all

It's unfortunate, but parents can be lazy... and diapering their children is the easiest way to minimize the mess and work of clean-up, regardless of its effect on the self-esteem of the child, or the child's long-term prospects of outgrowing wetting.

Use very thick diaper pants and three pairs of plastic tight pants with one dry night one plastic pants off and one wet night two on this systems works very on most boys.

As a child I wet every night until my late teens. I wish my folks had allowed me to use diapers. I HATED waking up in a soaked bed. We tried everything else NOTHING worked! For 18 years, I just slept in a stinky wet bed. What is wrong with diapers? They are simply a garment used to hold waste. If the wetting continues, despite other solutions, a diaper is the logical choice and in my opinion, the best choice. Just make certain as the parent, you maintain a HIGH level of discretion and help your child keep this private so they can maintain a normal childhood. NEVER...NEVER...NEVER use diapers as a punishment, they are merely a means to prevent the child having to sleep in a wet bed. Not a punishment!

Or because the child has a diaper fetish so they make the other solutions not work. (like me)

My mum makes me wear them so i can still drink at night ( Then she changes meh in the morning

I personally have used diapers for bedwetting. While they don't seem like the rite solution, they do help and make it a bit easier to deal with incase of an accident.

they are mean

It isn't actually the child but the parent with the issue, their afraid to admit that though

diapers are the best solution to me

adult bed wetting

No wet sheets or mess.

They think the child will enjoy it

The biggest problems with bedwetting are the laundry and the smell. Diapers are the easdiest way to avoid both.

we were told to just wait and this would resolve itself by the time our boy was 11 years old. He is now 10. He wets every night. Once in a while he has a dry pull up

BUT DIAPERSARE COOL TO WEAR ANY WAY

I think its because most of the pro-diaper "parents" are actually diaper lovers who look for any and all places to state how much they love diapers, and do so here by portraying themselves as the parent of a bedwetter instead of the bedwetter themselves.

the parent wants 2 put the child in a diaper even if the child doesnt want 2 be put on them.

DIAPER ARE SO COOL THAT ALL KIDS SCOH BE IN THEM

Thick Colth Diaper & Plastic Panties are the ONLY THING THAT WORKS. I Know, I have tried EVERYTHING. They really are comfortable. NO MORE LEAKS !!!!

I have read all the comments here & I don't see what all the fuss is about wearing diapers !! I am 17, Have worn diapers to bed since I was 10. Up until 10, I just soaked the bed every night. When I wet I don't just dribble or leak a little. When I would wake up my bed was TOTALLY SOAKED. I found myself laying in pee On my pillow, the sheets, the blankets and matteress were SOAKED. My Mom suggested diapers. After thinking about how great it would be to awaken with a DRY pillow and bedding, I decided to go with the diapers. It was wonderful to wake up with everthing dry and warm. I barley noticed the wet diapers. I wasn't shivering and cold.I slept great. My mom was pleased that I chose to wear the diapers instead of making more work (Washing) for her and not destroying the matteress. For God's sake people wake up.Wear a diaper and be done with it. If your body has a cut, you put a bandage on it. SOOOOOOO!! If your body leaks urine, put a diaper on it.It's the people who are against diapers that cause all the parinoia. If I at 17 can see the sense for using diapers, then why can't you parents wake up. They put bandages on babies when injured, so does that mean adults sould never us a bandage ???. Comparing the wearing of a diaper by older kids to a baby wearing a diaper is absolutely stupid. Do I feel Im a baby because I wear diapers....NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!. My grandpa wears diapers after he had surgery and can't hold it. Is he a baby too ???. Some of you need to GET REAL.

diapers are awesome

I like diappies

just let the kid try other soulitions, and if they don't succeed, have the kid wear cloth diapers and plastic pants.

i am anne baldwin i have wet the bed every night of my life i am now 13 alarms didnt work they would wake me up but my bladder lets go of it all at once

I fully agree that kids that wet should ware diapers

172ssl hi! its a nice site!

my mom puts me in diapers because i wanted them.

I think people who wet the bed should be diapered at nite. because if not you would be changing sheets all the time. im 15 and just woke up with my sheets soaked, luckly it didn't get to the matress

With 2 bedwetters and having been looked at by doctors who assure us that it will be outgrown. Cloth diapers and plastic pants are what we've found to be best.

i know because my parents tried evey thing and i still wet the bed

Diapers are a convienient way to keep the sheets dry, thus raising the self esteem of children who wet.

Diapers and plastic pants do work and keep the bedwetting child comfortable and make the problem a little less so.

My partner wears diapers to bed to keep from getting up 8x a night to go to the bathroom....I talked him into it a year ago, and how there's sound sleep with no constant waking up.

Goodnites are an easy solution

After you have exhausted the medical reasons, and are still wetting, it is much better to wake up in a dry bed, after a good nights sleep, then to wake up freezing cold, tired, and smelly.

life goes on ,just wear the diaper!

They do not want wash there kids sheets

Diapers are a very practical means to managing bedwetting or other wetting. They save time from landry and changing of bedsheets/cloths, they prevent the excessive use of medications that are associated with many unwanted side effects and they also create a sense of security and confort which may help the patient/child feel better about the situation.

people like me with real problems that use alarms think that those people are lazy!!!!!!!!!

I actually use alarms they work great I know a friend that actually got healed from alarms. My lunchaid had bedwetting isues she said she used alarms and they worked, the sad thing is her son wore diapers and he is16 .Wetbusters is inspiring I am 10 and I know that.If you are like me you use alarms.I strongly feel all bedwetters should use alarms .I am going to Girl Scout camp[over night] have any advice post it here at www.WetBusters.com.Write Soon PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think a lot of parents, particularly of younger children honestly believe that their child will grow out of this phase of their lives and are just trying to manage this time with the least amount of disruption to sleep for both them and their child.

A D

Most parents know that their children prefer diapers.

i am a mother of bedwetters and a bedwetter too

All the male people in my family wet till they were lateteens.. so no alarms or any of that expensive stuff... just cloth at night till I out grow it

Bedwetters need protection pants which is 12ply training pants covered by rubber pants or plastic pants two pairs. Under their pj. Or tee shirt top in warm weather.

they only wear diapers only

I have been a bed wetter for many years and tried just about every possible solution available including medication, and had no success diapers at least keep me comfortable and my bed dry.

Because they sometimes do not make it to the toilet

Because they sometimes do not make it to the toilet

Because they sometimes do not make it to the toilet

Diapers just make the most sense.

The Children that wear diapers lose less sleep then no diapered bedwetters

This question is based on a flawed premise, namely, that the data was gathered without bias. Reading your comments on another page it is quite apparent there is a severe sample bias. "People who take your poll" are quite clearly NOT representative of the whole. It is a far more likely explanation that the nature of this website is attracting fetishists which are severely throwing the results of your polls. Under the assumption that the question the poll posits is correct, I would answer, from my own experience as a child, and my experience currently as a bedwetter, that diapers are the simplest and most effective method of containing nighttime accidents. Medications carry some serious and often miserable side effects without offering a 100% cure, alarms are proven uneffective in a vast majority of cases, and hypnosis is not effective on everyone. One has to believe it actually works, for it to work to any degree, and even then, it is unreliable.

Using night time diapers helps the situation fomr many sides. The child can be comfortable in that their wetting is only into the diaper and the parents can feel better that the child is getting a good nights sleep. Everyone functions better with a good nights sleep. In general after a period of time the parents may want to try and alarm system or meds. The family doctor should be able to guide you as to what's best in your instance. Generally most doctors will wait until ages 7 or 8 befor doing anything about bedwtting. That's a lot of wet beds and wash. If you are using diapers than you have the situation being controlled for everyone's comfort.

They are so stupid that they think they are right

They see that their child is embrassed so they don't take it seriously

We tried to get my grandson to use an alarm, but he hated it and by the end of a week it "broke" He is 13 and just deals with diapers. He is at ease with them although he would like to be dry, so i make no comments to him. He cant do the tapes so I do that for him. He will out grow it as I did and his father so i feel that i should be "cool" with what ever he is.

I don't know why :) I am a guy and I wake up 'wet' every now and then.'Dry-nites' are a bit of a giving-up :)You have to put them on,and that is sort of defeatist :)

I want my child to be dependent on diapers

They see it as a last resort - maybe they think they're out of options?

And I was just wnoedring about that too!

Tried everything & my sister still wets...

gggggsr

They wet the bed like a baby, they get treated like a baby

i guess it has different reasons

Sometimes getting good sleep is more important that potential embarrassment over what the child has to wear to bed. Yes, I keep my son in diapers at night so that he can get decent sleep and not wake up in a puddle. I really don't like the negative judgments on here lately against those of us that have to make that choice.

Fetish

Mom told me that it´s for health and better than waking up in a puddle every morning an ruining the bed clothes

They are not concerned about bedwetting. It’s a normal part of growing up and will stop when the kid is ready. They want the child to have a good nights sleep and not worry about having an accident.

sometimes it's a matter of time until they outgrow it and if doctors have found nothing wrong than diapers might be a good idea

Bedwetting doesn’t generally need treatment, kids need sleep and options to make life easier and reduce embarrassment.

They want to comfort their child because they love it. So they give him the feeling of beeing dry and keep him "clean" and fearless to wake up totally soaked.
