I do think that your children need to see that there are consequences to their irresponsible behavior. You may also want to see if you can better understand their reasons for being so opposed to the move to see if there is a need you can try to meet in your new place. Yet they can't see this as an excuse to behave in an immature manner in defiance to your authority, unless they grow up to be lousy employees some day.
