Layla, I agree with Jane, as my 16-year-old son also accepts wearing terry nappies and plastic pants (rubbers) in bed for his wetting. I also agree with Jane that ‘Drylife’ sell excellent terry nappies for teenagers (in a good range of sizes), but my son found that their plastic pants (although well made) tended to leak due to wicking at the non-enclosed waist and leg elastics. This could be why Jane’s son also has to wear a second larger pair to cover the wicking elastic of the first pair. I have switched to buying plastic pants from ‘Arizona’ (also a UK company), as their clear plastic pants have enclosed elastics, which do not wick. Although these pants are a bit flimsy in construction, they do last a long time without tearing or hardening, if handled and washed carefully. However, I have noticed that Arizona now sell genuine soft rubber pants with enclosed elastics, especially for wearing over nappies. I intend to get my son some of these, because he is not too keen on the plastic pants being see-thru, as his terry nappy is clearly visible under the T-shirt, which he prefers to pyjamas in bed. The new Arizona rubber pants are opaque and available in white, blue and pink. I will probably get him the blue ones.
