Carina, I am talking about a standard loud alarm clock, not a bedwetting wetness alarm. Kids "outgrow" bedwetting because they sleep less deeply with age and either learn to wake up and use the toilet or to hold their urine for the entire night. They can learn to do this much sooner by using a standard alarm clock set to go off just before the time they typically wet. Parental help may be necessary initially, but the child soon learns to wake up to the alarm clock or even without it. If the loud alarm clock disturbes the rest of the family, a vibration alarm clock can be used. I don't understand why diapers are preferrable to this, with the associated problem of self-esteem impact, as well as possible risk of diaper fetish developing.
