This style is less absorbant, and is less comfortable, because the inner lining is plastic that is made to let the urine through, but isn't very comfortable against the skin. The better style is the one that has 3 tapes on each side. Those are more absorbant, and are very soft and comfortable. There's lots of places online on which to buy them, like www.hdis.com or www.magicmedical.com, but usually, you'd have to buy a case, although you might be able to get a pack to try on Magic Medical. Or Drugstore.com also has them in packs. If your son is 16, he should definitely have the chance to change himself if that's what he wants to do. The three tape style is pretty easy to put on well. Although if he's sick or something, he may want your help. |
