I've read the postings on this site a few months now, and like you i'm confused about how easily parents put their children back into diapers. My two sons are both sleepwetters, but I would NEVER even think of putting them in diapers for long drives or travels. It is not an option at all! On long drives we make frequent stops, the boys use the restrooms on gas stations or cafeterias. The frequent stops also makes it easier for them to stay awake and not fall asleep in the car. On long travels I make sure they use bathrooms and limit their drinks. It works fine, making this a routine we have no trouble travelling. Nights are another matter. My sons and I have discussed what the best solution is, they both have chosen to wear disposable diapers at night. The oldest change himself now, I still have to help the youngest putting them on, because he has trouble doing the tapes. They have both been nightwetters all their lives, so i have never been forced to decide wether tp put my child back into diapers, but I would NEVER have forced a teenager to wear diapers unless it was an issue we had discussed and agreed that diapers are the best solution. To be honest, I sometimes wonder if some of the stories on this board really are true. some of them seem like fiction to me. |
