I recently read in the parents main area on this site that excessive use of diapers in kids may be responsible for the rise in male infertility over the past 25 years. I also read this on another site as well (Dr. Green's site for parents). Apparently the plastic layer in disposable diapers or the plastic in plastic pants doesn't allow enough ventilation and the temperature of the testicles can become too warm. As a result the testicles may not develop normally and infertility or even cancer may be the result. The report says this has not yet been proven but that it makes sense and time will tell. Maybe we should talk about other ways to deal with bedwetting on this board, at least for boys, such as alarms?
