I also found it neccessary to return Bobby to diapers a year ago when he was 10, after much talk with him. I ordered from the internet cloth diapers and plastic pants, but when they first came in and it was time to use them the 1st nite he really freaked out, started crying loud, almost convulsing. I stopped. Then thinking we had to do this, I went and got one of his old bottles, filled it with warm chocolate milk, and came back, poped it into his mouth. He opened his eyes real supprized, then stopped crying and nurserd the nipple like he hadn't eaten in 3 days. After then, I used the bottle trick and there was no more problem and he got used to getting diapers. His bed was dry at night finally! Well months later they were getting worn, so this time I shopped the web again looking for better quality and found most all vendors sold mostly disposable and prefold cloth dipers really too costly, but finally found that lifestylesemporium.com still sold the really good quality Birdseye flat dipers in the 36x36" size for the older child, and since he indicated a while earlier he like color underwear, (see my 11/19 reply to Chris), some more search turned up plastic-pants.com and ordered some of their colorful print pants, the blue and the pink carosel. Now he usually goes and gets a diper and plastic pants, without being asked, and brings them to me when I finishing in the kitchen,at bedtime. Quite a welcome change in attitude, and he looks just adoreable and peacefull laying on the floor in his colorful plastic pants and diapers for an hour of tv before going up to bed. |
