Reply from marie, Child's Age 14 - 11/6/02 - IP#: 213.149.184.232For a kid to suddenly ASK for something like this herself when there are no medical reasons surely means she has psychological reasons for doing so,and I wouldn't encourage it,but instead try to find out the cause,either yourself or with the help of a paediatrician/therapist etc. If she becomes addicted to such a habit it will obviously cause her problems when she grows up,plus the expense,embarrasment and other drawbacks-we put up with it for over a year and hope our kid will soon grow out of it,especially as she is rebelling against wearing diapers/pants etc. Good luck!
