Reply from Rob, Child's Age 46 - 10/17/02 - IP#: 62.252.112.18I was horrified to read that in Newzealand a headmaster used the cane to stop a child wetting in school. This is child abuse and could result in damage in later life! I started wearing nappies in secret at the age of eight for comfort and to replace the love and tranquility I lost age two years and nine months when I became "clean." I spent my childhood years thinking I was a freak and this damaged my self-esteem. If only I could have talked it out with someone but that was not possible as my father would have thrashed me within an inch of my life. That is why it remained a secret, a very covert activity, I resented that then and now. The difference is that at age twenty-eight I found out there were others like me -it was some revalation! If as a child I could have worked through this with adult help of a POSITIVE nature, and violence official or otherwise is NOT positive, more destructive things may have been very different. (I would like to know how the young lad who was canned has turned out and don't expect him to be truthfull about diaper wearing. I would not be surprised if he is into humiliation and corpral punishment!) I beg all parents of children who like wearing diapers to look up Bitter Grey's Den (why Kids Love Diapers)he is a man who knows from experience what he is talking about. I can tell you from very harsh experience the only thing the threat of CP did for me was force me to hide a need, result, I still wear diapers very occasionaly now. I assure you a threat of death would not stop me doing so and what is so bad about wearing diapers? If a child needs attention they should get it, and if diapers are worn, wet or messed, so what, it's better than gangs or drugs or suicide. I condemn the use of CP on any child but even more so for wetting his pants for attention. I think it is a very progressive step to enable youngsters to be honest about this desire and to know they are not perverts or wierd AND THERE ARE MANY OTHERS LIKE THEM! While those who have a medical problem are unfortunate indeed and need all the help they can get. (I can't help wondering did they check that lad in Newzealand? How many kids suffered humiliation and physical punishment who had a health problem? It makes me very angry when people suggest CP for such a thing. Yes, it may have stopped him wetting at school but did it deal with the underlying problems that made him attention seek in the first palace. I would bet that they re-surfaced at a later date in some worse way; e.g. violent behavior to himself or others, maybe he turned to fetishes as suggested above -who knows. However, short term, violent answers to childhood problems are the remedies of the ignorant and/or the stupid. Yours Horrified, Rob England. |
