Reply from Beth, Child's Age 18 - 10/9/02 - IP#: 198.81.26.102Our son was a bed-wetter and was put into cloth diapers and plastic pants at age 7. He had no objections when he first went back to them and even seemed to be relieved that he wore protection. By age 11 he was putting his diapers and plastic pants on right after dinner and was wearing them a full 3 or 4 hours before he went to bed. I said nothing. At age 13 we caught him wearing his diapers and plastic pants during the day several times. We then had a long talk. He told me he felt good when wearing the diapers and plastic pants and he liked wearing them alot. I was stunned to say the least but said OK and suggested that he be discreet because if he was to be discovered it would be very embarrasing. He has been discreet and quit wetting his bed at age 14 but still wears night diapers and plastic pants every night. He does not wet them at all. He wears his diapers and plastic pants on occassion under his clothes during the day but as near as I can tell he doesn't wear them in public. He is well adjusted, popular in school, plays 3 sports and has girl friends. I am still amazed that he would want to wear diapers and plastic pants but have given up on trying to figure out the reasons. I just go with the situation and I believe its a harmless fetish. I sure hope so. We now seldom talk about his diapers it is just a matter of fact that he wears them. I wish you good luck - Beth |
