Reply from sharon, Child's Age 14 - 1/14/70 - IP#: 80.225.248.61Hi, My son is 14,and has always been an occasional bedwetter.It's never been a problem,and he has always had just a rubber sheet. Last year he came out of the blue that he wanted to wear diapers.At first I just thought he meant at night,but he then told me daytime too;it was just something he needed. I was surprised at first;we chatted calmly about it for ages and his mind was obviously made up. To help him,I took him to the drugstore for cotton diapers and plastic pants,which he now wears most times.He and the family are relaxed with the situation now,and I've since found that many teens have the same need. We have just a couple of ground rules that I'd recommend-He's allowed to wet his pants anytime he wants to,but must do all his own laundry including the bedclothes.Also,he now buys his own diapers and plastic pants,which has got him working for the first time-great! If he feels this need,go with it-there's much worse things in life he could be doing.
