Reply from Mike, Child's Age none - 8/7/02 - IP#: 24.58.21.31Indeed this forum is useful to parents of children with bedwetting issues.However some of us observing this web page do not have bedwetting issues.I agree with Joan in that kids that have desires to wear diapers may use bed wetting as a means to an end,and others may develope an attraction to diapers as a result of parents requiring that diapers be worn.Either way this is not an anathema to the parents.Parents should do the best they can. Enforcing shame and degradation will not yield desired outcomes--only needles pain and sorrow.Respect and love for parents and to kids will go much farther.I for one never wet the bed but always desired to wear diapers.My parents didn't understand (few will)so I kept it secret and as yet have never discussed this with them after 40 years.Privacey and self respect are paramount issues to children--and if wearing diapers is an issue--better than drugs or worse--why is this so awful ask yourself. |
