It is not good for the parent of an 11 year old to be doing the changing, (except as for physical handicap as noted in previous response). Placing diaper supplies in the open can be humiliating without any benefit. (See the story on Michael Landon) The best thing you can do is to sit with him, tell him you will allow him to quit the diapers, but it will be his job to change his bed and wash his wet laundry. Also allow him the option of a bed alarm if you have not already done so. |
