My husband and I force our daughter, to use diapers when we are on trips because we are afraid that she will not use the toilet and go to the bathroom in her pants. We buy a few packages of Youth Attends before we go on the trip. We have a diaper bag (from wal mart) that we put diapers, wipes, powder, and desitin in. Recently we went to Branson, MO for a family get together and she was diapered from the time we left our house to the time we arrived back at our house 2 weeks later. The first morning when I diapered her, she threw a fit and I swatted her butt and explained to her the reason why she was wearing a diaper. She stopped throwing the fit and we were on our way. When we traveled with her before we put her back into diapers we would stop about every hour and a half to every two hours. This was very hard and it took a very long time for us to get where we were going. We went for four hours before my husband and I traded drivers at a rest stop. When we got out I went to her side of the car, opened her door, unbuckeled her, and checked her diaper. She had peed and pooped so I took off her diaper and changed her, we were on our way. It was wonderful. When we were at a themepark my husband took her and I took my nieces and nephews around the park. We communicated with hand radios. Late in the morning my husband called me and we met so that I could go and take my daughter to the bathroom for a change. We did this two or three times that day. We rented a condo and she also wore the diaper there. One night when I was changing her she decided to be a handful and I gave her bottom a good old fashion spanking, this happened a few times while we were on the trip. She also was acting smart and wasn't listening to people so my husband and I gave her an attitude adjustment, usually I spanked her on the spot while taking her to my husband and I's bedroom where I took the diaper off, cleaned her up if she was dirty, and blistered her bottom. I have to say this treatment was essential to a happier family vacation.
