Early results were as I would have expected, with a large majority tolerating diapers and small minorities either hating them or wanting to wear them forever. However, as the month progressed, those who wanted to wear diapers for ever started to vote in droves, until as you say, they accounted for almost half of the votes cast. This was particularly true among the male voters (who constituted 65% of those who cast their vote). Of the males in the 11 – 20 age group, a surprising 49% never wanted to stop wearing diapers, and among the adult males (21+), this rose to a staggering 65%. The corresponding figures for female voters were 43% and 44% respectively. These figures seemed so ridiculous, that I wandered whether there could be another explanation (other than the one that kids who wore diapers for bedwetting had become reliant on them). I remembered your post in which you referred to diaper fetish, so I entered the search criterion “diaper fetish” in the Google search engine and obtained a staggering 7220 hits. Although I cannot prove it, I am inclined to believe that almost half the posters on this site are diaper fetishists, who have infiltrated a legitimate enuresis support site. I realise that the site moderator does his/her best to remove obvious fetish posts, but by careful examination of the posts in the teen and adult boards, there is clear evidence of duplicated IPs with different names (and in some cases, genders) telling inconsistent stories. I would hazard a guess that the vast majority of these infiltrators have never been enuresis sufferers, so their “addiction” should not be allowed to cloud the issue of whether or not true sufferers should wear diapers to control their bedwetting or not. I am sure that the administrator(s) of this site have racked their brains to think of ways of keeping the fetishists out, but it must be well nigh impossible. I am sure that my son Tom is not becoming addicted to his nappies, as he is showing increasing signs of embarrassment with them, and has told me that he really wants to become dry as soon as possible so that he needn’t wear them any longer than necessary. As a precaution, I am not letting Tom use the Teen board again. |
