You really need to discuss that problem with a doctor, but here's some information that came from several different web pages. Sickle Cell Anemia causes damage to the kidneys that results in increased urine output. This can cause dehydration, so Sickle Cell sufferers must drink large amounts of water to prevent it. The increased urine production does not slow down when sleeping like it does for most people, so most patients can't get through the night without urinating - either getting up to use the toilet or wetting the bed. The end result is a large percentage of Sickle Cell patients are bedwetters. Alarms and wake-up training helps for some, but withholding liquids before bedtime should not be tried because of the increased risk of dehydration.
