Most people using this site are looking for ways to help their children - or themselves - stop bedwetting. Some use diapers on some occasions during the day because of weak bladder control, but I haven't seen any messages suggesting the use of diapers only for convenience. I agree with Joan, that might lead to dependence on diapers. If your son can't make it two or three hours without using the toilet, an empty sports drink bottle with a screw on cap can be used as a make-shift urinal. We used similar devices when I flew fighters in the Air Force and rest stops were out of the question, even on long flights. You may give up a little privacy, but clean up afterward is a lot easier than dealing with wet diapers, and less expensive too. This might also be an alternative to diapers for boys that do have weak bladder control, as long as modesty isn't a major issue.
