Parents can't make a move nowadays without worrying about self-esteem, so everybody ends up suffering (and worrying, as this post makes clear). Sit down with your husband and figure out the most reasonable, practical solution to this problem (or any problem in fact) and then do it. Your child will survive, and depending on the course you choose, may even be grateful. No child wants pussyfooting, namby-pamby, wishy-washy, anxiety ridden parents, though we seem to be getting more of them every day. |
