Joan, please don't be offended, but your statement, "Wearing a nappy/diaper in bed does not prevent a child becoming dry in his/her own good time..." may not be completely true. Theoretically, diapers could delay a child from becoming dry. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any research data on this issue. Your child has Asperger's Syndrome, and is therefore a special case. Your only option may be diapers. What I hope to see on this board is an interchange of what parents' experiences (negative as well as positive) have been with various methods of dealing with sleep wetting, in addition to diapers. Why did the alarms not work? Did anyone have any success with certain waking methods? Do rewards help? What other things has anyone tried? Maggie, I think your poll idea is great, and I would hope people would also answer your questions here. I know that this site monitors the postings here, but just in case I will suggest your poll idea to them as well.
