To fill you in on whats been happening here I would like to say our son is doing fine. He now understands that he needs a diaper and doesn't fuss when I put it on him. He is sleeping better and isn't so agressive and cranky. He has calmed down a lot, Listens, and does what he is asked to do. We are enjoying this change of behavour compared to the days before and during the start of this. We do have only one problem that my husband has already addressed with our son. We are planing a 14 hr. drive to my sister's house for Easter. Last year we flew but i just won't fly anymore. The other night when i was putting on his diaper I told him that he will be wearing a diaper for the trip to Auntie Ellen"s house because he will most likely sleep in the car along the way. Listening to you guys gave us this Idea. My husband doesn't want to stop every hour for potty breaks like we did a few years ago when we drove there. This time however we will not do the trip in one day. I will be pulling him out of school a day early to get started. My husband has some business along the way so the trip will be longer. We've made our reservations at a motel 6 along the way. Our son is not happy about this trip and says repeatedly that he doesn't need to wear a diaper in the car. He agrees at night but not in the daytime. He says he can hold it in the daytime good. When I showed him stains in his underpants before throwing them away he says they are old ones from when we wet at night. I bought him new training pant underwear and he hasn't rilly complained but is being very difficult about the upcoming trip. I know he noticed the package of Pampers I brought home after shopping this weekend. And because I have been putting him in cloth diapers at night I know he knows what the pampers are for. I feel sorry for him but at the same time I agree with you guys here and my husband this must be for the best. Thanks again. I will keep you updated |
