Reply from Maggie, Child's Age 11 - 3/9/02 - IP#: 12.86.10.39Joan -- Our boy is younger and smaller than yours (70-75 lbs.) so I change him in the restroom, generally in a handicapped toilet stall or a family changing room if there is one. The bulkiness of his diapers is his major complaint, but I think it comes with the territory. You can’t avoid embarassment completely even if you do try to make it no worse than necessary. In any case, if we are on a trip and his friends aren’t around it shouldn’t matter. We have also used them a few times under snow pants when he has gone out for an afternoon of sledding, thanks to a suggestion on this board. But as I said, springtime is going to be a whole new ball game. I just hope he settles down and gets comfortable with his diapers before we put away the snow pants. By the way, have you ever diapered Tom for holidays (Christmas, Easter, birthdays)? |
