Thanks for all the great advice. Well, we gave it a try and put Jimmy in diapers Thursday night. While the first night was a little rough, last night was fine. We have really tried to make this a minor issue with him. We told him the benefits of diapers and (downplayed) the disadvantages and it worked. He went to his mom Thursday evening and wanted to try the diapers. She said fine and did not act like it was any different than if he wanted to try a new food, though I know there was tension when she had him lay on a changing pad she made. He's been up for an hour and a half now this morning and still in his diapers. His mom says he's dry, but staying in them because they are warm and cozy, but I worry that he is reluctant to ask for her assistance in removing them or maybe he is wet and hiding it. We shall see.
