You should have talked to Jennie and her mother immediately, since letting a whole school day go by is almost tantamount to giving her permission to tell everyone in school. Call Jennie right now and see if you can determine what her reaction is, what she has said or is planning to say, etc. Since we probably should assume that the word is out, your boy will react in one of two ways: either he will put a huge effort into stopping the bedwetting now (see some of the accounts on the research board on this issue) or he will give up completely and flood his bed every night. If you think it is going to be the latter, you may need to keep him in diapers just to save on the laundry but it isn't going to help with the bedwetting. If he is more likely to do the former (get really motivated to stay dry), then this is definitely the time to keep the pressure on and not try to make everything "okay" (since the cat is out of the bag anyway.) |
