I would never put my 9 year old in diapers. The obvious choice to me is Pull Ups. They are less embarrasing for the child, they can put them on and take them off themselves, and they work just like underwear, except they are disposable. And ultimately, as long your child is wetting, Pull Ups solve the problem of having to launder sheets everyday or causing damage to the mattress. My daughter is glad to wear them. As a side note, I wet the bed until I was 15, my daughter seems to have the same problem. We have been trying the Monitor V alarm system from Travis International (sound and vibration) and have had some improvement but faulty equipment has interrupted progress several times.
