Reply from Tom, Child's Age None - 12/27/01 - IP#: 159.39.16.14Disposable diapers leak for two reasons - either it becomes saturated and can't hold any more or the wearer is lying on his side where there is no padding. Either way, plastic pants probably won't help much. They are designed to keep the wet material on the inside from contacting dry material on the outside, and not to hold free liquid. If liquid leaks out of the disposable diaper it will leak out of the plastic pants also. What you need is more absorbency. The best protection for bedwetting is cloth diapers and plastic pants, but if you want to stick with disposables, try Molicares. They are imported and far more absorbant than anything made here.
