This was back in the late 70's while I was an exchange student. He would also have accidents at school. They found out that he was doing it for attention. For the school problem help from the headmaster and the "touch of the cane" stoped his wetting at school. For home problems the mother got cotton material from a local material store and made her own diapers. They would call for the boy and he would have to lie down on the floor and the mother would put on the cloth diapers with pins and plastic pants. They would do this in front of me or whoever was visiting at the time. The parents used the humiliation to stop the problem. your boy may be doing this to gain attention. I would go back to cloth and plastic pants with him and add in a little humiliation and punishment it just may solve the problem.
