My son is incontinent and has been in diapers his whole life. When he was younger I was using disposables on him but now that he is older he needs increased capacity from his diaper, especially at night so he now wears cloth diapers and plastic pants when at home and also at night. Funy thing is for him cloth diapers are for grown-ups since his father also wears cloth diapers at night for bedwetting. This has never been a secret in our family and my son is accustomed to seeing an adult wearing diapers. In a sense this has made his acceptation of incontinence easier and his "graduation" from disposables to cloth a step forward. We have three diaper pails in our house and diapers to be seen around the washer and dryer most of the time as well as a few pairs of plastic pants drying on a line. We are all very open about all this and anybody coming home get used pretty quickly to the fact that diapers are not only for babies. This has made life much more simple for my son and he seems well adjusted to the fact he will always be in diapers.
