To Tom,Mr John,Maggie and everyone that have responded.I came to this board to ask for genuine advice on my son's problem.I don't like to see everyone bickering.Hopefully we are all here with similar problems and similar solutions.I don't think there is one set answer.I am a single parent, divorced.my ex-husband was a bedwetter till he was in his teens. He also admitted to me he enjoyed diapers which I could not handle.I did not need to take care of 2 babies. As for my son this might be the cause of some of his problems. When I said we didn't get the hang of toilet training,I guess that was partially due to my ex-husbands attitude.I do use a plastic sheet on his bed and have spent much more time with my son on this issue. We have come to an agreement that he will start wearing underpants to bed,if he wets those 3 nights in a row,he goes to training pants, then plastic training pants and finally diapers and plastic pants. He will remove all of his soiled clothing and bedding and put it in the washer in which I will wash them.As far as daytime wetting, the same applies.I think he is lazy.I have asked my girlfriend to not to mention anything about our conversations to my son.I am not sure if this the right thing but I think it is a step in the right direction. Will welcome your comments and advice.
