Of course it's better if children could just "wake up and walk to the bathroom", but it isn't always that easy. I was a bedwetter, and no matter how I tried, I couldn't overcome it without medication, and time. Some people never overcome it. Diapers simply make things easier for such people. I know this, because my parents forced me out of diapers when I was still incontinent, and I went through MAJOR depression through my teenage years. Imagine being an impressionable teenager trying to hide that you've had an accident! Not a good thing... As for developing a sexual attraction to diapers, yes this happens. My brother and I were both bedwetters. He developed an attraction to diapers later in life, but I did not. We've talked about this, and he says he thinks the reason he developed his attraction to diapers is because he was DENIED them when he really needed them! It can go both ways. Personally, I'm for making a child as comfortable as possible in the moment, in a tough situation that isn't their fault. |
