No one responded to my last message. If you want to talk, just respond. My dad is stuburn and won't let us get the internet at home, so I don't have an e-mail. He says my sister will meet someone and run off with him, but we all know she wouldn't. Believe it or not, since the night I posted my first message, I haven't wet. I hope it stays that way. As a former bedwetter I would first like to say DON'T GIVE UP! My two oldest sisters never wet the bed.My third sister and I both wet the bed well into our late teens and I untill around the age of about 20-21.My father was a bedwetter untill about age 13 and my mother utill about age 15. They were very understanding and never let us become discouraged or depressed about it.They always said we would outgrow it. Hey it took a while but we did outgrow it.Yes it was a drag to be afraid to sleep over at friends house,but it was allways our decision to go if we wanted to.They would even offer to call our friends parents and inform them of our problem.(Now wouldn't that get you beat up at school the next day huh?)If your friends told anyone else they wouldn't be much of a friend though.Not all of my friends knew but my true friends,and I still talk to them regularly,knew and didn't care.Surprisingly a couple of them were bedwetters too.Today they are many things available to help that we didn't have back in our day.So remember don't get depressed,don't dwell on who knows or doesn't,and DON'T GIVE UP! You'll outgrow it in time.

I was wondering if anyone could help me. My step dad is horrible and wont let me wear goodnites to bed, but I wet every night. I'm getting really down and I hate waking up at 2 or 3 am to change sheets. and also I hate having accidents at school. I think its that I'm lazy, I get to involved with something and just go in my knickers. But he checks my knickers and thngs like that all the time, so the only way I think I could get away with it is if I could wear a pad that looks like a sanatry towel. ive been a bed wetter for 10 yrs. now. in 98 my mom found me goodnites. i've learned to live with this problem, so can you. thanks to the internet a bed wetter in N.Y. can contact a bed wetter in CA. if we stick together and with sites like this one, we can manage our lives and live it to the fullest. good luck to all of you out there and goodnite. Hello,I just found this site 2 weeks ago and I'm glad I did. It's good to feel that I'm not alone. I'm 15 years old or young and I still wet my bed more than enough. I'm wet about 4 - 5 times every week. I heve been dry between age 5 and 7. The reason why I probably started wetting again is the divorce of my parents. In the beginning I didn't wet alot, but how bigger I grew, the more I wetted my bed. I really have tried everything to become dry at night, but nothing works. I really do my best to stay dry at night, but most of the time I wake up with soaking sheets or a wet diaper. I don't like wearing diapers, but when I can't sleep in my own bed I have to wear a diaper. at home I wear them sometimes too because if I wet my bed I have to do my own wet laundry. I don't want to wear them every night because I'm afraid that if I do I will stay wetting my bed forever. My parents (dad en stephmom) let me choose whether I'm gonna wear one or not. I get full responsibility for my wetting, they don't blame me, they know I really do my best to stay dry at night, but they don't know what to do either. Sometimes I really am depressed when I wake up and notice that I have wetted again. I really feel ashamed for it. I just whished that I knew that there will be a time that I can wake up in a dry bed, but I fear that I will wet my bed forever. I read that how older you come, the more difficult it is to become dry at night. In this messageboard there are only a few success stories and that makes me sad. I wished that i could write my succes story, but that wouldn't be honest. So please people give us a little bit hope that things gonna work out right and that there is a change that even teens can become dry at night. Please help, I started having accidents in my sleep two weeks ago, then I had one in the car on the way to school with my mum. She didnt say anything bad but just looked really dissapointed and took me home to get changed. When I came home from school there was a packet of goodnites on the bed! I dont want to wear them but what if I have another accident? Is there a way I can wear them so noone can tell? And how do I put them on? I have not even opening the packet I just threw it in the back of the cubboard.

Help... I have been a bedwetter for a few years now. Nobody knows apart from my family, I wear a diaper to bed ever night and most every night it's wet. I also have to wear them sometimes during the day. My problem is that in a few days I have to go into hospital for an operation. what will happen, what will the nurses and doctors say, do I need to bring in my own diapers, where will I get changed, who will cahnge me, will i have to waer 24/7, what if i mess as well as wet. i am really scaredabout this has any one been to hospital before and if so what happened.

I have just found this site since I am a new owner of a computer finally. I couldn't help but read some of the statements made in the group and feel very sad.
I was a bed wetter and still am today although not like when I was younger. Because of bedwetting I was not able to do a lot of things with the other kids. Not because I couldn't but because I was afraid to. As I look back at it now I wish I looked upon it as something I can't control and not to be ashamed of and tried to just go with it.
When I was younger and getting to the age when other kids were getting potty trained I couldn't do it. I wasn't fully potty trained until I was almost seven. this meant that I wore diapers to school my kindergaten year and into second grade. I remember being teased about it and called every name all of you already know or can imagine.
My bed wetting never stopped. Because of this my mother insisted that I wear diaper at night which she continued putting on me until I turned 14 when she finally let me do it myself.
During my preteen years even after I was potty trained during the day I often was put into a diaper when ever we were going to be away from home for a longer time than a quick stop to the store. This I hated and wish never happened but it did. My mother used the reason that my youger brother was wearing a diaper and becuase she didn't want to be bothered with bathroom visits I suffered the humiliation of wearing a diaper under my clothes and hoping no one could tell.
I also hated a two week trip to Disney World when I was nine years old and my brother was three. We drove there and I had to wear a diaper the entire vaction 24/7. Then again at age 11 when we went to Pennsivania to Hersey and to see the Amish.
Up until age 14 I was treated this way. After age 14 I had control of my diapers but there were always those " Let me check to make sure it's tight and her resetting a pin or fussing with the plastic pants.
During the daytime I had to wear training pants after I was potty trained. The kind with terry inside and plastic pants covering. I didn't get regular cloth underpants until I was 16, on my birthday. But even then when we went on long car trips I had to wear my training pants just in case.
At age 21 I finally left home and got an apartment on my own. I still wear the diapers at night that mom keeps me suppied with regularly on birthdays and holidays. I still am very shy and still ashamed but reading about others helps. I feel not alone. I only wish that other parents out there read this and try to understand there child's feelings before they insist on diapering at times the child will feel really ashamed and embarrassed. I had countless encounters with people wearing diapers and being laughed at and teased and wouldn't wish that on anyone.
