i was like you at first but the need for them overcame this initial shock at buying them. sure everytime i go into the store i dread going down that aisle but hey in order to live a full active life you need them. you do not need wet bed sheets and mattress to be the giveaway do you. I think that you need just to overcome your hesitation and just buy them. i'd just try to go into the store when no one is in there and then just go down the asile and grab them and walk up to the counter and check out hope you do not live in a small town where everyone know everybody where they will tell your parents either. I was 19 and away at college when my wetting started it happened on the night before my first day of classes at that time i had a nasty bladder infection that to this day is not right it caused me to be dependant of diapers 24-7 i have lost total controll of my bladder and i cannot help it, this is the card that we are dealt. we as the population of incontinet people are the last of the health problems that society cannot understand and deal with. you should never feel stupid or anything else you are a wonderful person even though i have never met you. you just have a minor healtrh problem that can be easily managed. just think this diapers cannot be seen if you wear them right. glasses and braces"teeth, leg" can and you hopefully can be thankful that you do not have these or if you do do you feel this way about these? depression is rampant in incontinent people. we isolate ourselves to the point that it starts hurting all aspects of your life. you have other major things comming up in your life that you have to worry about first, getting a drivers license, getting good grades in school and graduating from high school with some extra school activities and then going on to college to make something of yourself, seeing the rest of the world, ect. you will be ok. i have made it through 10 years of diapers, you can too.feel free to come back to this forum and discuss anything you need to we are here to help you and everyone. and a suggestion do not buy the attends line of diapers they are too high up the body and if your shirt comes out of your pants anyone can see them and they have a ever present perfume scent about them which is a dead giveaway. buy the depends line the overnight fitted briefs work wonders and wear a pair of underwear over them to help with the comfort factor.there will be other choices like disposable underear and refastenable underwear those do not have the right amount of porduct you will need. if you are small waisted you will have to get the depends small brief and add a booster pad to it a way to cut the product in the regular brief and make you buy the extra stuff they took out of the brief. at first they will feel a bit wierd but you will get used to them, my suggestion is when you buy them go into the restroom right away and put one on and wear it home this will sound strange but this will help your confidence level and start you to get used to them right away always read how to put them on first so you can get it right the first time. and as far as your family if they do not understand them i say forget them. you have to live your life and do it in as dry as possible. this will manage your problem then i would then discuss this problem with your doctor and find out what is causing this and hopefully he/she can fix it for you but in the meantime these will help you trust me.
