I still wet at night sometimes, mostly when I forget to go to the toilet before bed or if I am too tied. I think you'll find most teenage girls, will try and hold it for as long as possible and I know some times that can lead to accidents. I still have a small leaks a couple of times a week, largely from leaving it too late. I completely wet my pants in the day about once a week nowadays. Does your daughter completely wet herself in the day or is it just small leaks before she can get to the toilet? I don't wear any protection at night now, I used to wear drynites or goodnites, but the largest size in can but in the UK doesn't fit me any more. Plus I found that if I was wearing one then I tended to wet it in the night. I've only wet the bed about once a month for the last year or so. In the daytime I tend to wear sometime like a Poise or Tena Lady pad for those left it a bit too late times. During exams at school, I wore (and used) Tena Discreet pants. I used to wet myself a lot more often, because I never used to try and find a toilet until it much too late, like your daughter. My mum used to try and humiliate me over my wetting, I think she knew that it wasn’t always purely accidents, she used to loudly say things like “Natasha, do you need to go to the toilet, we don’t want any more accidents” in front of friends and family. She even used to put her hand up my skirt and say “Are you wet Tasha?” as she meet me from school. I think you should get your daughter some daytime protection, but made sure doesn't just use it as a substitute for the toilet. It's probalbly not that she is wetting deliberately but more that she is not bothered by wetting herself now and then it means not having to stop what she's doing. |
