You should be old enough to learn to manage the pins if you get the prefold type. The contour diapers with velcro fasteners have less padding on the sides and may be more likely to leak if you sleep on your side. Both the pull-up and contour types are designed for a particular size and if you are still growing you may buy a supply now and need to buy a larger size next year, or whenever you have a growth spurt. Whatever you do about diapers, don't get rid of the plastic mattress cover. All diapers will leak sometimes, and you don't want to ruin the mattress. |
