He advised me to use green juices. This involves running several vegetables through a juicer and drinking the juice. The juice is a healing and strengthening agent. Since there is no fiber in it, the body can pass it directly to the intestine for use, without spending the energy to digest. And you know the feeling of a lack of energy. I was much the same. I was very run down. Had to take weeks off of work. But drinking the juice every day quickly built my strength and got me back on track. It assisted in the healing I needed. I use a combination of fresh tomato, carrot, kale, cucumber, collard, bell pepper, broccoli, parsley, and leaf spinach. All must be FRESH vegetables, not canned or frozen. I wash them in a half a sink of warm water with salt (2 tablespoons) and lemon juice (1/4 cup) to remove any field residuals. Mustard greens are good for the liver, but bitter to the taste, so I quit using that. The juice is not fun to taste but it is very valuable to the body. You should be able to rebuild your strength and feel a lot better in a month or two. I can't say you will be in perfect shape, but it should help you from getting worse. A grocery store juicer is not strong enough to hold up to this kind of use. You can get a reasonable juicer like Juice Man at a health food store for about $100. If you see a natropathic doctor, he can advise you of a diet and herbal regiment to add to this. Most MD's are not into this type of treatment, but a lot of healing takes place, and it cannot be considered harmful, even in conjunction with your doctor's treatment. |
