Hi Tom, Wow that's great--congratulations on staying dry for your walks in Scotland! Keep up the good work. You are right about the pins being hard to learn and can hurt if you make a mistake. It takes practice to learn and some of us cant get it right for a lot of different reasons. I started to change myself when I was 10 years old. When I was almost 13 years old, I caught my hand in a lawnmower. Now the hand doesnt look to bad (2 operations) but there is very little feeling in the fingers which makes it hard to do the pins. This made me very embarrassed because I couldnt change myself any more. My mom fixed my diapers by putting Velcro on them so I didnt have to use pins. You can also get cloth diapers now that come with Velcro already on them. By the way, we use mom instead of mum and diapers instead of nappys over here in the USA. Maybe your mom can either fix or get you some with Velcro too but remember that they are expensive. I know that guys our age need to take care of our own problem with wetting as much as we can. I'm sorry that your mom wont let you use the chat room. Yes, sometimes there are bad people in there once and a while but some of the kids have their parents monitor the chat room while their kids are on line. By the way, there are a lot more of us than just a couple of kids that use a diaper in the car on long trips so dont feel bad about having to do that. Just remember to use the bathroom whenever you can and only have the diaper for a backup in case of an accident. I'm not required to use a diaper for bed either. Its my choice cus I dont like sleeping in a wet bed either and I get out of my diaper as soon as I get up. Just remember Tom, it will get better as time goes on!
