Reply from Tom, Age 60 - 11/4/02 - IP#: 159.39.16.xxx adultbb-c756 I would guess that if the snoring started about the same time as the bedwetting they are probably related. Have you gained any weight lately? Snoring and other sleep disorders are more common in overweight people, and if that is the case losing a few pounds might help. People that are incontinent during the daytime will also wet at night, but for those that wet only at night the cause is often a sleep disorder and has nothing to do with bladder problems. At this point you'll probably just have to wait until you can get to a doctor and get it checked out. In the meantime if the Depends are adequate for you then consider yourself lucky, most adult bedwetters, myself included, find that they often leak. Molicares are far superior and can be purchased by mail order from www.abaip.com. Cloth diapers are even better but I wouldn't make that investment unless the problem becomes really long term or permanent. Don't feel like you are less of a man because of this. There are millions of adult bedwetters and most of us are married and have families. Some people deny that they have a problem at first, and their wife/husband gets them some diapers and suggests that they wear one to bed. A supportive spouse goes a long way in helping someone deal with this type of problem. |
